The Temple teachers offer guidance in traditional Zen practices such as breath awareness, mindfulness practices, inquiry into the moment, shikantaza (just sitting), and koan practice. We are dedicated to helping every student find a meditation practice that fits their unique personality and deepest intention for awakening. We are committed to the continuing work of integrating our practice into daily life.
Inclusivity
Boundless Way Zen Temple welcomes people of any cultural and religious background, race, socio-economic class, education, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical ability, and age. Our only requirement is the ability to sit still and in silence during meditation periods.
Boundless Way Zen Temple Mission
We have created the Boundless Way Zen Temple organization in order to support and sustain a place of vibrant Zen practice for ourselves, for those around us and for those who follow us. Our mission is to support the purposes and practices of Boundless Way Zen Temple through sustaining a dedicated site for:
- Daily practice
- Training and special events
- Residential Zen retreats
The Boundless Way is guided by our resident transmitted teachers: Melissa Myozen Blacker, Roshi and David Dae An Rynick, Roshi. We are a non-profit religious organization governed by an elected Leadership Council.
