Description

Join us this fall and winter to explore stories and koans from our Zen Ancestors. Each month we will focus on one teacher: Bodhidharma in September, Hui Neng in October, Matsu in November and Linji in December. Although we are separated from these teachers by centuries, their teaching is alive and present right now and inspires us in our modern Boundless Way Zen practice. As always, we will use these teachings as a way to move closer to our own individual experiences through guided practices, presentations, and discussion.

After lunch we will have the opportunity to apply the morning’s teaching through the traditional mindfulness practice of samu – caretaking of the Temple and grounds. Following that we will have afternoon Zen practice, with silent sitting, chanting, a dharma talk, and individual meetings.
